Admissions

The Institute admits 100 students anually for the MBBS Program approved by the Medical Council of India. The five and a half years program includes one year of Compulsory Residential Rotating Internship (CRRI) and follows a cirriculum stipulated by the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.

Of the 100 seats, 50 are filled up by the government allocations and 50 by the management, of which 15 are reserved for Non Resident Indians (NRIs).

The selection of students to Medical College shall be based solely on merit and all management quota candiĀ­dates should appear for the Common Entrance Test for the Management quota conducted by Tamil Nadu Private Medical College Association.

The rank list will be prepared based the Common Medical Entrance Test and Personal Interview and Aptitude Tests.

No Candidate shall be admitted to the First YEAR of M.B.B.S. Degree Course unless he/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of Admission to the Course.

Applicants for the admission under NRI Quota should not have completed 21 years of age on the 1 s* of July of the respective academic year.

Qualificacions include Higher secondary Examinations or The Indian School Certificate Examination which is equalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination, after a period of 12 years of study, the last two years of study comprising PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY with ENGLISH at a level not less than the core Course for English.

The NRI Candidates must have pass in PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY (Botany and Zoology) and ENGLISH individually and obtain minimum 50% of marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination.

Candidates for admission to MBBS Degree Course must have obtained individual pass in English, and the following percentage of Marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examinations.
